Todd asked Michelle out On a date in the fall of 2015.  He did this again (and again) a few more times before she said yes.  But she never regretted it because their first date turned into a conversation that still continues today. 

Awed by the character and strength of each other, their love grew quickly. Todd proposed to Michelle in October 2018, on the three year anniversary of their first date.

It was the weekend of our three year dating anniversary, Todd and I had planned to go out of town to celebrate but the weather changed our plans and we decided to stay home instead. On Friday, I came home from work a bit later than expected, parked the car in the garage and proceeded to open the door to the house. As I did, I could see rose petals scattered all over the floor with a path leading out to the back yard.  On top of the counter were three dozen roses (1 dozen for each year we had been together) and candles to boot. As I walked out to the backyard, I could see Todd laying down with champagne, on a rolled out blanket. He told me he was excited to celebrate our anniversary at the house and poured me a glass of champagne. We laid on the blanket, sipped our bubbly and reminisced about the last three years and visualized the future. As we were confessing our love, Todd maneuvered to one knew, pulled out a small black velvet box, opened it and told me “he would like to take this relationship one step further”…pausing in disbelief, my eyes swelled up and I said YESSSS!!!!! <3
